The Eyes…
Regan’s eye already looks so much better. We had issues (let me re-phrase, David had issues) getting drops in her eyes Friday. She cried and he couldn’t do them, he finally explained to her that if we don’t do the drops then we can’t do all the fun things that we are going to do this weekend. (Post coming soon: Grandma & Grandpa Gallagher; Zoo Boo alternative)
So smart person that she is, she asked if she could have the drops put in AFTER she saw the animals at the zoo. Uhm,….when did the negotiating start? He did explain to her that he couldn’t do that and she finally let him put drops in her eyes.
Yes, we have to put drops in BOTH eyes so that the “yuck” doesn’t transfer straight to the other eye.
Friday afternoon I left work early so that we could get on the road and I did the drops then. Yes, she cried but I gave her 2 m&m’s for being good about letting me get the drops in/around/on her eyelids (I just let her keep her eyes close when I drop them then I ask her to open her eyes, she tells she doesn’t want to but we are finding sneaky ways of getting it done).
As of tonight, she isn’t even crying when she knows that it is eyedrop time.
Do you think the m&m bribe worked? Yes, I gave her 2 more tonight!
Fever
UPDATE: Regan has Pink Eye. Are you kidding me??!! However the doc said that it is possible for the “stuff” in pink eye to drain therefore making Regan’s body try and fight it off (therefore the fever).

Yes, my poor girl has a fever. Of course that doesn’t stop her from pretty much being into everything still. (Sometimes I think that it makes it worse).
Daddy is home with her today as I am already taking 1/2 day off work tomorrow to try and make it to the Baltimore Zoo on Saturday sooooooo. We will see what plans Regan’s body has and take it from there.
In the meantime, it is back to the salt mines for me.
