Before/After
Here is the living room BEFORE:
(See all the pimples the walls have – David knocked all the popped nails back in, puttied, and sanded)

Dining Room BEFORE:

Living Room AFTER:
(I’m thinking of leaving the ottoman this way)

Dining Room AFTER: (Well crap, just realized I didn’t take a Dining Room after, however the color is the same as the living room)
Accent Wall:

That is one of the “slaves” (actually it is David – HATES having his pic taken – he was trying to duck out of the way). You can only see part of the accent wall but again, I think you get the idea. At night it is really nice – little darker and all that.
Just have the upstairs bathroom left (I already know what color we are using) and the trim in the living/dining/bathroom upstairs and I think that will be it).
Painting Party Success
So of course yesterday proved to be interesting because by 4pm I received a call from Regan’s sitter that Regan was running a slight fever and that she had said that her ear hurt. Get there at 5:20 or so to pick her up (I still had work to do and the doc’s office was probably full for the last 1/2 hour of the day). Decide to go to the after hours available at her pediatricians office. Get home to pick up David, get going down the road and Regan projectile liquid “frows-up” in the car. Get in line behind about 12 other sickies, wait about an hour, get in the exam room and THAT ASS ON CALL SAYS: “Well we don’t consider 99 degrees a fever (granted I don’t either, but uhm, she said her ears hurt too – and she threw up on the way here), her ears look fine, she just has a cold.” (Did he hear ANYTHING I said?) ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? Regan says she still really wants to go to my friends for the night. She seems to be perking up too. Take her down the road.
I get 7 hours sleep, get my coffee, finish off getting everything ready for everyone that is coming to help paint, finally call my friend (as I didn’t want to be the one waking my child up), Regan threw up a little last night – but she is fine this morning, (oh, and she woke up at 10 – NOT NORMAL people!). Get almost done with the 2nd coat, call my friend again, Regan threw up again – “I think she has a little stomach bug. She seems to be fine and then all the sudden she throws up.” We get everything back in place and around 2:40pm I pick up Regan. She says she is fine but that she wants to go home.
Get in the car, almost home and WHAM! she is out like a light (she has only been awake for 5 hours so far), call David, tell him I’m gonna drive around for a while so that Regan just sleeps (if I take her home, she will wake up and her nap for the day would have been about 15 minutes long), I tell him that I will come by and pick him up if he would like. I get him and we cruise around the outskirts of town. A-Good-Full-Hour-of-Rest and she was finally able to keep her eyes open.
By tonight, she said her tummy felt bad, no fever, but pretty much out like a light.
I will post before/after painting pics tomorrow – maybe.
Sunday
Wow, end of the day and I almost forgot to say something. Nothing profound at this point. Nothing of real interest either probably. But I must do what must be done!
Got up a little late. No noise from the princesses room. Got in a shower (BONUS – Schwing!). Finally heard noise from the rugrat. Got her up and going (she seems to be better but she still feels warm every once in a while). Went for coffee. Got home, had lunch, put her in her room – (yes, I would say naptime but for some reason that no longer exists in this house on the weekends). When she finally had enough, she started banging on her door, got up there and there are freaking toys and books EVERYWHERE!!! So got her changed back into clothes and underwear (that is at least going really well still!). Asked her to help me clean up her room. So I had her make a pile of stuffed animals that she wanted to keep in the “highrise” (this is what I now refer to has her bed – the floor behind the door is now the “apartment”) and a pile of animals to put back on some book shelves. She did this very well. Then we went through the books in her book case. She was very helpful with that too!
Have I mentioned my painting party that I’m having soon? I’m having girlfriends over to help me paint the living room/dining room and upstairs bathroom. David and I narrowed down our paint selection for our “accent” wall in the living room. I think that we are down to 4 choices. I already know the other colors that I want to use in the other rooms.
I Mr. Cleaned the kitchen floor with one of those magic erasers. Worked well. Now my arm is sore and tired and I will have to advil myself tonight to not feel like complete crap tomorrow. It is okay – it REALLY needed to be done.
I just heard her coughing some still. I really hate this whole thing. I know that she isn’t sleeping well because of it AND she won’t take her nap. UGH! Okay, it really isn’t waking her up. I just checked on her – just makes you feel so helpless that is all.
Have a great night everyone.
