This Morning

Regan looks sooooo much better this morning.  Her left behind cheek is broken out but I’m sure the hives just need to run their course as well.

I stopped by CVS last night and picked up Aveeno bath wash and also the Aveeno lotion.  I was going to give her a bath last night but she dawdled over dinner last night.  I did however slather the lotion on her pretty good but I didn’t do in her diaper area.  So this morning her cheek is broke out. 

This morning, the meds went down much better and I slathered her ALL over again, this time I did it before putting her Pull-Up on.  Hopefully between the medicine and the lotion, her behind will look better tonight.

Well here are a couple shots, poor baby.

 

That was at about 6:30 tonight - I know that I had the wrong angle,so her face is really shiny and you can’t really see the affected areas.  The next one was around 7:30 tonight, just an hour later.

I have one of her back but it didn’t turn out as good as the front one from around 6:30 as well.

 

I feel so bad for her.  I did try to remember that she didn’t take her full dose this morning, she said it burned her tongue?!  Tonight it went down good though.  I’m hoping for really good results again in the morning.

What in the World???

Regan came home with bumps on her legs yestereday, they looked like bug bites really.  I didn’t think anything more of it than “that seems really weird since she doesn’t get bitten often”. 

I woke her up this morning and she looked sunburned on her thigh area, some on the insides of her arms and 1 spot on her back and 1 spot on her belly.  The redness is raised a little but very blotchy.  The spots that had looked like bug bites last night are now the whiter, flatter areas this morning.

I decide that I don’t want to take a chance so I call the doctors office and schedule an appt.  I got in at 9:30. 

She has HIVES!  Well thank goodness because I had already started to worry that she was infecting everyone in the doctors office with chicken pox.

We don’t know what she got them from, she didn’t eat anything new, she is still using all the same detergents, soaps and shampoos.  However when I called the babysitter to know that I was bringing Regan in today, she said “Could it be from grass?”  Yes, yes it could.  I know that I can’t lay in grass very long before I breakout from it. 

Come to find out she was literally rolling in the yard at the sitter’s yesterday.   She had a dress on so that explains all the areas that are affected.  I asked Regan to not roll in the grass today and see if that helps.  I told her that she could fall on it, but not to roll in it.

If she doesn’t look much better tonight, I will take a picture and share with you what it looks like.
