Nothing much new…
Of course after I got officially licensed, I started working. After that, there was Halloween. Regan was very easy on me and was the same thing she was last year. Amazingly enough her costume still fit!! I did actually get to spray her hair with blue colored spray. Last year I didn’t get to actually spend time with her trick or treating because I was in school. However getting off work a half hour before trick or treating time was a close call too!
Now it is on to Thanksgiving. No plans yet, however David’s work schedule may be getting ready to change yet again! Might be on daylight (7am – 3pm). So who knows what we will or won’t be doing, usually David ends up working on Thanksgiving day anyway and then we do whatever after that. However one tradition that David would like to continue is the year that we moved into our house and went to Waffle House for dinner that night. Yes, it was Thanksgiving (7 years ago).
What traditions do you have and what traditions do you wish you did instead?
Halloween Pics 2008
Here is my costume (yes, that is me in the costume too). Btw, I have no idea what that was that showed up on my shirt.

Who Am I??
Regan was an Ice Princess:

She wanted up. (No, she wasn't a Zombie Ice Princess)
Girdle…..
Have any of my readers worn a girdle?? I’m just curious……HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IT ON?????
This is the thing, with my Halloween costume being what it may be (I will reveal on Halloween), I just wanted to make sure that my cellulite ass wasn’t all nasty so I have a friend that has any manner of items to pull, tuck, suck and …… okay we will just leave that alone because it is getting scary. Anyway, she brought me in a girdle to try, saying that she wore it when she was “smaller”. Okay, I think I can handle that.
Seriously people, I almost couldn’t get the damn thing above my knees, so I finally get that far and I start thinking, I have no idea how this is going to work. I pull the pretty little lacy ends above my knee thinking that if I can just walk this contraption up my legs, I might have half a chance of getting it on. Ended up, I couldn’t get the damn thing up to my middle thigh, I gave up. But maybe I gave up sooner because I was really just ready to go to bed.
I looked at it again last night and just went “Ugh”. I think I have decided to fit in my Halloween costume in all my own glory and so far I have gotten positive feedback that it doesn’t look too bad.
So any tips for getting a girdle on without using vaseline, KY jelly or some other form of lubrication that is going to leave me looking like “Congressman David Dilbeck”, from Striptease.
Day 4 – Halloween Pics
Neither girl wanted to “Be” anything so they went as themselves to an extent.

Trick Or Treating
Kind of a bust really. She was excited that her Best Friend Ellie was coming but once we started out (just went to Mother-In-Laws first), she got very quiet and didn’t seem all that interested in participating. Mom’s friend, Linda, wanted us to stop by and we did. Regan is ALWAYS quiet around Linda though. Came back home to walk around the neighborhood and it is more like carrying a 35lb bag of candy instead. Yes, we had to carry her. I think we made it to 3 houses that way and I said forget it and brought her back home.
Ellie made a killing and was AWESOME at saying Trick or Treat and getting her candy. Sam and Ellie had to go off by themselves for a while.
Then Regan decided that she wanted to help hand out candy. Of course that led back to wanting to walk around to the houses again. I told her that she could hold my hand and I wasn’t going to carry her! So we made it to 5 houses total and Regan decided that she wanted to go back home.
Oh well, Halloween isn’t for everyone, right?!
Happy Halloween
Of course it feels lame to use that as a post but hey, I’m not all the way together today.
Regan got upset last night because I told her that it was Halloween tomorrow and she started crying after I walked out of her room. Since I was standing there I went back in to find out what the problem was. “I’m scared of the dark” she said. I told her that she has never been scared of her bedroom and that she has a nightlight.
SNAP!
The 2 watt lightbulb went off and I realized what she was talking about. I ask her “Did it scare you when I brought up Halloween?” She nods her head. I tell her that we will Trick or Treat during the light and that her Best Friend Ellie is coming to Trick or Treat with her. She seemed okay with that aspect. I hope that it all works out!
Remember the National Blog Posting Month Challenge for November coming up. Kelly has gotten into the spirit of the challenge and will be joining in the fun. Thank you Em for drawing it to our attention!
