Camera, Pictures, Develop
So I have started a new thing with Regan. I picked up a used 35mm camera at a yard sale last week for Regan. She loves taking pictures and her one little digital one that is for her is a little weird (don’t ask, because I can’t tell what it’s problem is). Anyway, I thought this would be a great way for her to take her own pictures and see what she sees. So I picked up cheap CVS film (4 canisters of 400 speed) Saturday evening and we are through 1 canister so far. I want to get them developed quickly to show her where we have been and what she has seen and taken pictures of. I thought this was a great project for her. She can use the pictures for whatever she likes and she can see the ‘fruit’ of her fun!
I took her camera with us this morning to Waffle House and said why don’t you take a picture of ‘this’ and ‘that’ and she did and she really liked it!! She still likes to take pics of Grandma and Mommy but I wanted to get her away from that a little bit. Once we get the film developed and I scan the pics I will be sharing them with you all. I know that I will enjoy, no matter what turns out or doesn’t.
I hope that you all do too!
Two Pics
Granted this is not why I feel that a camera is a necessity for the changes that occur every 6 months, however they ended up being my subjects one night and I did get a couple shots (about 80 between the 2 cats) that were really sharp looking to me.
Enjoy.
This was the first night we had the camera and I do have some of Regan now. Just haven’t downloaded them!! Hope to do that this week as I think that I have to learn really quick how to add a video to my blog as Regan is really getting the hang of Hopscotch.
Stay tuned.
Whoo Hoo, New Camera
We got a new camera, we got a new camera!!
No, I’m not excited at all. :|
The thing of it is that we haven’t had a camera since June 30th. Now a lot of you may not think that a camera is a really important part of life. But when life is changing every 6 months for a 3 year old, a camera is a NECESSITY!!!
We have been using David’s mother’s camera and it is nice that we even have that to use, however when you are used to your own camera, it is difficult to get used to another camera.
We didn’t have our camera for the 4th of July fireworks that we set off in our yard that Regan really ended up enjoying. We didn’t have our camera for Regan’s birthday party either. So two major events and of course all the other completely silly things that she does every month that you really want to record. I do have to say, thank goodness for Mom’s camera for the birthday party and the writing of her numbers.
Oh, and just one more thing. When we looked at the camera this past weekend it was already at a sale price. Well it was cut another $40.00 off that sale price. I really can’t ask for more than that.
So yes, I’m extremely happy tonight and I have already started playing with it. It looks like it is going to be fun and it will help me to bring more pictures your way.
Happy Clicking!
