So as you can tell by some of my links, I like music.  Pretty much any kind.  So since I love music and I know how good it is for a ‘body’, I have passed my love onto my daughter.

This morning this was the new lyrics to Deck The Halls:

I personally think that the lyrics should be changed to this - I mean really, who has boughs of holly other than Martha Stewart and don’t we all have bells that are bawlly??

Seriously, I think that I read and sang to Regan at nighttime for 2 weeks straight.  She would throw a complete fit.  But in the mornings she would tell me that Daddy was going to read to her (yeah, right!).  By dinner time the tune ALWAYS changed.

David has put Regan down for the last 3 nights straight due to personal request of the Queen Majesty.  Wow, so this is a nice time to just tell you all a couple things.

 - David painted the upstairs bathroom yesterday while I was at work.  Now every wall has a color to it that is not EGGSHELL. (David-ism ALERT: We no longer have Eggshell, we have EGG YOLK)  - yes, it is YELLOW!!!  Sunny, bright and fun.

 - Now that we have the paint for the bathroom, this means that my work office can finally get painted!  Whoo Hoo!

 - I got assigned a whole job to myself (from the beginning to the end) at work.  It will be 8 events for the year.  Looking forward to the challenge and learning more aspects of the printing that we do.  (oh, btw, I usually just do the end part of the paperwork for jobs that I have - the Acct Manager does the beginning stuff).

Well, that is about all that I think that I wanted to share at this point.  Oh, I do have a boat load of pics to upload but I would have to take some of my other pics down and I think I whitled my pics down already.  I will check though!!

I finally got hit with another cold and it is tricky with me because I typically get bronchitis so I’m very watchful of what is going on with my body in the early days to figure out if I need to go to the doctor or not.  I’m fairly certain at this time that it is in fact only a cold - to which I’m thankful.  I just hate all the nose blowing beacause I simply cannot let my nose ooze, so after a box and a half of puffs and looking like rudolph, I will hopefully be better in the nose department soon.

I finally had a MAJOR break through with getting Regan to not freak out on me after I leave her room at night.  Monday night lasted 15 minutes and yesterday she had no issues with Daddy putting her down (I was out of commission and sleeping).  Tonight I got 2 questions and was told it was okay for me to go downstairs.  Picking and choosing my battles, I could care less if she told me I could do something as long as EXCORCIST REGAN doesn’t visit here again for a very long time.

That is about all the randomness that I can think of for the moment.  I hope to be back blogging a bit more regularly soon.

Seriously people…..Thank GOD for friends!!  Smart friends, dumb friends, funny friends and serious friends.  Obviously I could go on and on.

However, one friend in particular is really standing out to me today (and through this past weekend), Obviously from my previous post, I was struggling with getting EXCORCIST REGAN to be her usual lovey, easy-go-lucky self.  My friend reminded me that ultimately, Regan is just trying to have an audience and push the boundaries to the EXTREME edge (and doing so successfully until Saturday night :)  )

So, I hope to have nighttime back to ‘normal’ again this week and looking forward to better times again. 

So thank you FRIEND!  You absolutely Rock!  You make me feel much more fortified, and I am truly THANKFUL!!!!

So the good roll we had going with getting Regan to bed/sleep ended last night.  We had about a month of no fussing after I left her room.  Last night she was a TRAIN.WRECK!!!

I have no idea what else to do at this point.  It frustrates me to no end that she makes it so difficult (obviously that is her job and she is doing it with 100% conviction).  I know that she knows things aren’t ‘normal’.  I hate that for her.

I did sit down with her at 10:00pm last night after all the SLAMMING (sounded like she was putting her foot through the door) of her hand on her door and the SCREECHING (that lovely sound of ‘I’m being BEATEN within an inch of my life’) that was going on. 

Any gypsies (inside joke - sorry) in the VA area that need a child?

For some reason it just had me cracking up! There are so many good ones here, please take time and enjoy some day that you are completely useless AND need a laugh.

Some one that I have listed as friends to the right knows of someone that has a blog celebrating women’s bodies.  Granted this isn’t the way I wanted to go about it however I’m trying to help another friend out and I know that I remember seeing a site that was private but just beautiful.  These women were full bodied, skinny, pregnant, with stretch marks, with c-sec incision scars and everything else in between that makes us all individual in our quest for motherhood. 

 I would REALLY appreciate it if one of you remembers the site that I’m talking about.  If you do remember or have come across it yourself, email me and let me know the site address if you don’t feel comfortable posting it in the comments!!

My daughter complained tonight that she didn’t like her hair.  I asked her how she would like it, shorter or did she like it long? She replied “Shorter and Blonder.”  Of course I’m thinking to myself, ‘Shorter, really??’ so I ask, “How short would you want it?”  She reaches up with her hands to the sides of her ears (but not in her hair) and closes her fists and says “Like this.” Uhm, okay…I can take direction pretty good but uh…..does ANYONE have any idea what it is she just requested for a style?  So I try again and I use my hand and say “Do you want it at your shoulders?”, she says no but then shortly after changes her mind and says yes, at her shoulders.  Since I have been cutting hair all weekend, what is one more cut?

I get my stuff out, thinking quickly on my feet and decide on a style that I can handle that isn’t too short (I really don’t want to do the bob to her again but….I will if I have too), but still has length for the 1 day of the summer that she will actually ask to have it up.  I basically have the front right above her shoulder with the back “V” so that she still has SOME of the length.  Don’t get me wrong I still cut about an 1.5″ off (cringe - honestly, I didn’t realize it was quite as long as it was) and about 2.5 -3″ towards the front (because it was still ‘bobbed’ from last summers cut).  ANY-WAY, way longer story that needed.  I asked her before bedtime if she liked it and she said she wanted it like Ryan’s (she makes our coffee on Sunday morning’s).  I said “Really?”

I’m not saying I don’t like Ryan’s hair, I love it and I especially love it on her, however could you imagine seeing a 3 yo having that hairstyle? Uhm, sorry, I would probably freak.

I will post before/after shots of Regan’s hair tomorrow. I still need a shot of the “new” do.

Accent Wall:

That is one of the “slaves” (actually it is David - HATES having his pic taken - he was trying to duck out of the way).  You can only see part of the accent wall but again, I think you get the idea.  At night it is really nice - little darker and all that.

Just have the upstairs bathroom left (I already know what color we are using) and the trim in the living/dining/bathroom upstairs and I think that will be it).
